First of all, apologies for the late player profile, this is just a one off and Premiership Player Profiles will return to Wednesdays once again next week. The midweeks Premiership Player Profile features Hull Citys George Boateng.George Boateng is a midfielder currently attached to Premier League side Hull City.Boateng has enjoyed a long  Andre Dillard Jersey spell in English football dating back to 1998, but it was in the Netherlands that the Ghana International first started his career.It was at Dutch team Excelsior Rotterdam that Boateng began his footballing career, making nine appearances in his maiden season.Once the season finished, Boateng transferred to one of Hollands top teams, Feyenoord. Boateng established himself as a regular and went onto record 70 appearances for the club in the three years he spent at the Eredivisie club.Boateng then caught the eye of Coventry City manager Gordon Strachan in 1998, who eventually signed the midfielder for 220,000. The midfielder totalled 46 appearanaces for the Sky Blues before transferring to West Midlands side Aston Villa. He made 135 appearances for the Villans before moving to fellow Premier League side Middlesbrough. It was at the Teeside club that Boateng arguably enjoyed his best football of his career.George Boateng (centre) Jalen Mills Jersey  in action against Man Utd.Boateng was strong presence in the Middlesbrough side ever since transferring from Aston Villa in the 2002-2003 in a five million pound deal.During his time at Boro, Boateng was put acro s as the solid platform behind Boros succe s, particularly in the UEFA Cup, in which the club reached the final. He was also part of the 2004 Carling Cup winners under Steve McClaren.Boateng also established himself as an ever present figure and fan favourite as the fans voted him their most mi sed player through injury.The 34 year old made a total of 223 appearances for the Riverside outfit and notched up nine goals along  JJ Arcega-Whiteside Jersey the way. However, it was in January 2008 that all but signalled the end of Boatengs Boro career. Then manager Gareth Southgate removed Boateng as the captain and stated his desire for Boateng to concentrate on his game more.Six months later, Boateng agreed a contract offered by Hull City, and the move  Isaac Seumalo Jersey was completed on the 16th of July.
